You Break Through

I found Tangerine Dental Group back in July when I broke one a tooth. They were able to get me in and were able to take care of it. I had to get 2 root canals done, the downside is they dont have a in house endodontist so I had to wait a couple weeks to get in. Not their fault, and they were prepared to get me a referral to have it done sooner elsewhere. I opted not to and to stick with having Tangerine Dental do it all because of my positive experience with Dr. Mackenna Rodgers and her assistant (I cannot remember her name for the life of me). Dr. Rodgers and her assistant were very kind, patient, and understanding. I have a lot of anxiety and fears about the dentist and going to them for something that felt like the end of the world was really nerve racking. Dr. Rodgers took me step by step and explained everything very clearly. When I started to freak out or the pain got to me they would stop and allow my time to regain myself and never once made me feel like I was overreacting. And for those of you with those fears, you know how amazing it is to not be judged. They have certainly helped with reducing my fear and anxiety around dentists. Due to that positive experience I went back to them again a few weeks ago to have my first dental cleaning in 3 years. I found out that my insurance was no longer valid, but they offer a discount plan for their services at a very affordable price. While its not insurance, it helps bring the costs for out of pocket care to be much more affordable and manageable. Dr. Swati was my hygienist and she was absolutely amazing as well. Like Dr. Rodgers she explained everything she is doing very clearly for me to understand. Neither Swati or Rodgers judged my poor oral health, or my mental health challenges with it. Instead they came up with a plan to help me get back on track so that its easier for me to care for myself and my oral health. As of today, after two sessions of work, I am cavity free and I finally have the smile I have missed back. They do absolutely amazing work and I cannot wait to continue my care with them. 💖

I have Multiple Chemical Sensitivity Disorder and suspected that the antibacterial product used to clean their water systems was flaring me up (at the very least it tastes terrible to me, which is usually a bad sign.) When I went yesterday they told me *they’d flushed the system several times in anticipation of my appointment*, and when I could still taste it, *they did it again.* I also I had bad reactions to the Glade plug-ins in the office, so they worked out a schedule with me to come in for my appointments first thing in the morning and be put in the front room, and unplugged the lobby plug-in two weeks before my appointments, and eventually stopped using them altogether. In the past I’ve been treated by medical personnel like I’m crazy, a hypochondriac, an annoying inconvenience, etc., but at this office I’ve *always* been treated with respect. I’ve been a happy patient of theirs for years.

All the staff members are very friendly and professional. All the process from the beginning to the end, were very efficiently.
